About X4: Foundations

Start Small. Command Everything.. Your journey begins with a single ship - but what you become is up to you. Trade, fight, explore, and build your way to power as you grow from a lone pilot into the leader of a vast space empire. Command fleets, manage resources, and shape the future of the galaxy through your decisions. A Living, Simulated Universe. The universe of X4 is fully simulated and constantly evolving. Factions trade, build, and wage war independently, reacting dynamically to both your actions and each other. Every station, ship, and economy is part of a living system that continues to grow - with or without your influence. Build Your Empire. Construct space stations, establish trade networks, and control entire production chains. Design and expand your infrastructure using a modular system, building stations that power your economy, manage supply chains, and automate production as your empire grows into a self-sustaining powerhouse. Fight and Command. Engage in real-time combat and take direct control of your ships - or command entire fleets strategically. From small skirmishes to large-scale battles, every encounter is shaped by your tactics and decisions. A Universe

A quiet favourite

Want to play EVE Online but don't want to deal with other players or the fact that, realistically, you will never get to own or fly any of the actual big cool ships? Want to play Star Citizen but sometime this century? This is as close as you'll get.

Never have I seen a game that does so many different things, and connects them together so well

Never have I seen a game that does so many different things, and connects them together so well. When you start the game, it feels like playing the single player version of Elite Dangerous in the best sense possible. After about 20 hours, the game suddenly turns into Kenshi, setting up automated productions and building bases, After about 40 hours, the game suddenly turns into mount and blade, as you'll lead a fleet from the front and get into combat. After 60 hours, the game basically turns into a city/colony management game, where you make huge production lines and create your own ships and building in a self sustaining system. I'm currently at around 80 hours, and I'm no longer playing a colony management game, but it feels more like Stellaris as I am actually forming a new empire that can contest other empires. Send help, I have not slept in 2 days.
