I went in with modest expectations and came out genuinely impressed. Factorio leans hard into Sim, Strategy, Multiplayer, and that is exactly the part that worked for me. On paper it is The factory must grow. The factory always grows., and for once the game mostly lives up to that. The difficulty curve is gentle at first and then asks more of you, which felt right. Checkpoints are frequent enough that a bad run never feels punishing. Easy recommend at full price.

A friend recommended it and I owe them one. The Sim, Strategy, Multiplayer mix is what kept me playing; Factorio knows what it wants to be. The pitch — The factory must grow. The factory always grows. — is delivered without too much filler. Short sessions work fine here; I rarely lost progress to a bad checkpoint. Checkpoints are frequent enough that a bad run never feels punishing. Worth it, especially on sale.

The UI takes a little getting used to, but everything is where you expect it. If you are on the fence, give it a shot.
