This one kept creeping back into my thoughts during the workday. If Sim is your thing, WorldBox - God Simulator delivers it without much filler. The pitch — WorldBox is the ULTIMATE god simulator and sandbox game. A petri dish for your — is delivered without too much filler. Short sessions work fine here; I rarely lost progress to a bad checkpoint. The soundtrack does a lot of heavy lifting in the quieter sections. If you are on the fence, give it a shot.

Picked this up on a whim and ended up playing it every evening for two weeks. WorldBox - God Simulator leans hard into Sim, and that is exactly the part that worked for me. It helps that the premise (WorldBox is the ULTIMATE god simulator and sandbox game. A petri dish for your) actually shows up in the moment-to-moment play. The difficulty curve is gentle at first and then asks more of you, which felt right. Checkpoints are frequent enough that a bad run never feels punishing. If you are on the fence, give it a shot.
