This one kept creeping back into my thoughts during the workday
This one kept creeping back into my thoughts during the workday. Cult of the Lamb wears its Roguelike, Sim, Pixel influences on its sleeve, and it mostly works. It helps that the premise (Adorable cult management meets dungeon crawling.) actually shows up in the moment-to-moment play. Pacing is generous, checkpoints are fair, and the whole thing respects your time. Performance was solid on my machine, no crashes across a full playthrough. I will be back for another run.

I went in with modest expectations and came out genuinely impressed
I went in with modest expectations and came out genuinely impressed. Cult of the Lamb leans hard into Roguelike, Sim, Pixel, and that is exactly the part that worked for me. The pitch — Adorable cult management meets dungeon crawling. — is delivered without too much filler. Short sessions work fine here; I rarely lost progress to a bad checkpoint. The soundtrack does a lot of heavy lifting in the quieter sections. Easy recommend at full price.
