When you start, the cacophony of bullets, grenades and artillery will make you want to hide in a hole
When you start, the cacophony of bullets, grenades and artillery will make you want to hide in a hole. Every death seems to have come from nowhere. Every enemy seems like a sniper. But you get better, more confident, able to take objectives. You begin to have fun. After a while though, you've seen it all. Every stupid helicopter death, every failed push, every kind of way of dying to a trap. You become jaded but more powerful. After you've been shot thousands of times you lose your fear of bullets; you run at the enemy, you out-manoeuvre them. Flanking becomes second nature. Stay here too long and you'll lose your ability to empathise with your fellow man. They're lives seem meaningless. You start to emulate the plants you originally feared, you start to grow leaves, you practice standing still for hours at a time. You have become a part of the forest. The only thing still tying you to mankind is the double barrelled shotgun cradled in your arms, waiting for some poor ♥♥♥♥♥♥'s face to present itself. Welcome to the Jungle.

A quiet favourite
Not $60 No lootboxes. No season pass. No non-cosmetic DLC. All upgrades are earned through gamplay. No laser rifles, jetpacks, or silly emotes, just Hardcore Teambased combat/ Is this 2017 or 2014?

A quiet favourite
"Brutal. Authentic. Gritty." Very nice large scale multiplayer shooter with realistic approach in unused setting. More accessible than its predecessor and more a fps than a mil-sim, so keep that in mind, before you cry about it not being a mil sim. For me it hits the sweetspot between "normal arcadish fast paced shooters" and "slow realistic military simulations". So if you want something more realistic than Battlefield, but think Squad is a bit too much, here you go.
