Better than expected
I am updating this review in response to the devs announcing Potionomics: Masterwork Edition which adds both a chill mode and an endless mode. I am super excited to hear these changes coming and 10/10 recommend getting the game for anyone that is even remotely interested. Thank you devs, you rock! [Original Review Below] This game is so so close to a masterpiece. I really need an "endless" or chill mode where you can freeplay without a time limit; even if it was something like New Game Plus mode that you unlock or free-play after you beat the competition. The time limit is a constant amount of stress which I really dislike, and being at the mercy of RNG for ingredients can make it even more stressful at times. If the time limit would stress you out, you might want to avoid the game unless they add a freeplay mode. I just want to chill and have fun playing the haggling card game and making potions. I feel like with a free-play I'd have more time to get to know each of the characters and experiment around with their abilities. Devs: Love this game but please implement a freeplay/endless mode.

This game took 6 years to make because the artists & animators went SO HARD on EVERYTHING. Each character has so much charm and their personalities set them apart. The gameplay elements are all fun. With shop managing like Recettear, the potion making of Atelier, and card negotiations in Slay the Spire what's not to like? You can even romance some characters too. Also this last part is not a criticism, but you should know there aren't any voices for the characters, so it's all left up to the imagination.

Worth every hour
A great game, absolutely love it, the only thing I would've really enjoyed would be if, after finishing the game, you could continue playing free of any burden and just be a potion shop you know?
