Frustrating more than fun
Honestly, I adore this game and will continue to play it for a long time (I actually own it on multiple platforms), but I can't in good faith recommend it to others. The game is very well-made and the dev team's continued support *years* after release is amazing, but they've done one thing that makes me shy away from recommending this game to others. Almost one year ago to the day as of writing, they did a surprise removal of many songs from the game (most if not all were related to the Vocaloid China set of music that had been added post-release, though not every song was removed) with no explanation whatsoever, and have yet to comment on it a year later. As of writing, the only ways to play the now-missing tracks are to either download an old version of the game through the Steam depot, or to play an outdated version of the game on a console that is no longer supported. At the moment, that means the PS4 and PS Vita versions of the game still have many of the removed tracks, but those versions were themselves abandoned even longer ago (albeit for far more understandable reasons) and so they *never* had all of the missing tracks. Switch users can still play all of the removed tracks if they chose to never update starting just before the removal, which again was unannounced, but that's it. Steam users have to deal with the tracks being gone, or keep an old copy of the game around just to play those missing tracks. I fundamentally disagree with developers removing content from games and refusing to talk about it, no matter what it was. If they had stated their reasons for doing so at the time, this would be a positive review.
