It took an hour to click, and then I could not put it down. If Sim is your thing, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 delivers it without much filler. The pitch — The entire Earth, rendered in your living room. — is delivered without too much filler. The difficulty curve is gentle at first and then asks more of you, which felt right. Checkpoints are frequent enough that a bad run never feels punishing. If you are on the fence, give it a shot.

Picked this up on a whim and ended up playing it every evening for two weeks. Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 wears its Sim influences on its sleeve, and it mostly works. The pitch — The entire Earth, rendered in your living room. — is delivered without too much filler. Short sessions work fine here; I rarely lost progress to a bad checkpoint. Performance was solid on my machine, no crashes across a full playthrough. I will be back for another run.
