Picked this up on a whim and ended up playing it every evening for two weeks. Kerbal Space Program 2 wears its Sim influences on its sleeve, and it mostly works. On paper it is Kerbal Space Program 2 is the sequel to the acclaimed space-flight simulation, and for once the game mostly lives up to that. The difficulty curve is gentle at first and then asks more of you, which felt right. There is more content here than the price suggests. I will be back for another run.
There is a good game buried in here somewhere. Kerbal Space Program 2 promises a lot with its Sim setup, but the loop wore thin quickly. It advertises Kerbal Space Program 2 is the sequel to the acclaimed space-flight simulation; what you get is a thinner version of that. Performance was acceptable, though the loop repeats itself well before the credits. The soundtrack does a lot of heavy lifting in the quieter sections. Try before you buy.
I went in with modest expectations and came out genuinely impressed. If Sim is your thing, Kerbal Space Program 2 delivers it without much filler. The pitch — Kerbal Space Program 2 is the sequel to the acclaimed space-flight simulation — is delivered without too much filler. It never wastes your time with filler encounters. Performance was solid on my machine, no crashes across a full playthrough. I will be back for another run.
