Picked this up on a whim and ended up playing it every evening for two weeks. The Racing, Sports, Sim mix is what kept me playing; F1 25 knows what it wants to be. The pitch — The official Formula 1 sim, at championship pace. — is delivered without too much filler. Pacing is generous, checkpoints are fair, and the whole thing respects your time. Checkpoints are frequent enough that a bad run never feels punishing. I will be back for another run.

Not a bad game, just not one I can recommend without caveats. Fans of Racing, Sports, Sim will recognise the pieces, though F1 25 never quite assembles them. What it promises (The official Formula 1 sim, at championship pace.) is more interesting than what it actually does moment to moment. It asks for a lot of grinding before the interesting parts show up. It runs well on a mid-range rig, though the later areas get busy. Wait for a deep sale.
