Hey reviewer, why do you have so many hours in this game and still don't recommend this game? Why do you own so much DLC, enjoy it so much, and still believe people shouldn't buy this game? It requires an internet connection, for ALL game modes. If the server goes down, so does the game. If the developers ever decide that they don't want to support this game anymore, or shut down the servers, you no longer get to play this game. And frankly, that's such a big middle finger to its player base that I cannot recommend this game in good conscience. I will love it and have fun with it, but creating a game that's not future proof, that generations don't get to enjoy, just sucks. Considering that the game is completely invalidated on a Steam Deck because of this one developer decision, despite the series of DJMAX having a long history on portable platforms like the PSP, betrays their roots. If you ever want to touch this game, only get the game and its DLC when on steep discount.
Intrusive DRM isn't advertised on the store page and prevents emulation via Parallels, Crossover, Proton, etc. Avoid if running anything other than an x64 processor.
It's a fun game but it shouldn't be online only. If the servers are down or you don't have internet connection you won't be able to play, and in a couple of years when they release a sequel this one might become unplayable because all they have to do is shut down the servers making it dead, which is amusing considering the game graveyard theme in the opening movie.
