Join the vast world of CryoFall together with other survivors to rebuild your civilization from scratch. Start with primitive technology and simple tools and use them to progress towards modern industrial might and even beyond, eventually reaching space-age technology only seen in science fiction. CryoFall can be played either as a relaxed PvE experience with no competition or as a brutal and unforgiving PvP. Make your choice and join one of many available servers with different game modes or host your own and invite your friends to join you! Build your house or a large base together with other players. Dig wells and create farms to sustain basic needs. Build vehicles to explore the world faster. Establish basics of science, all the way from medicine and chemistry to fuel creation and even lithium extraction to create electronic devices. Cook food or prepare drinks to sell them from vending machines in your store. Build factories to produce on an industrial scale: Weapons and defense systems, bionic implants to augment yourself

I played Cryofall single player and I enjoyed it
I played Cryofall single player and I enjoyed it. The game is design as multiplayer experience, but you can play it single player happily if you increase the resource/harvesting/crafting rates by a lot. Grindiness was the main complaint other reviewers had for a single player experience, with decay rate of equipment and power sources also slowing down progress. However, the devs have added the feature that you can adjust the game settings to customise your experience and after reading reviews I decided to increase all the resource rates for myself. You can play it multiplayer MMO like the devs originally designed it, like a difficult survival game like Don't Starve, or a hoarding/base-building game like I enjoy. I ended up with 1.6mil units of leftover metal after I finished the game, because I just enjoy stockpiling a vast caches of all materials. Commenting on suitable rates to make it similar to a other single player farming/base building games, you probably want to go 5 times the rate for all crafting and resource collection rates. I would also unlock the limits on stack sizes and set 50 times normal stack sizes. Increased stack size also makes crafting/manufacturing/power-supply less tedious. The combat settings are already balanced for the difficulty modes the developers recommends.

This is not a single player game PvE as is it was built as a multiplayer PvP
This is not a single player game PvE as is it was built as a multiplayer PvP. The single player mode is boring & mundane with the standard resource gathering & base/character development. It must be said that the single player PvE mode is a way to develop skills to ultimately play the multiplayer PvP. I guess that's what the developers where aiming for, a full-on multiplayer experience. If you are not into multiplayer PvP then this is not for you

Great game
Great game. Has a lot of potential! (To start a private solo game simply right click cryofall in your library, then hover mouse over manage, open browse local files, then double click the file "cryofall local server" and then a window will open. Let it load and you will have a private server set up. Plain and simple). Any questions post it in the comments!
