Best storyline I've had since Metro games. Respect to everyone who worked on the game and even went to Chernobyl to make every single bit of Pripyat in the game 1:1.
Before we begin, I'd like to remind you that Chernobylite is an indie/mid-budget game. There are negative reviews that blame Chernobylite for not being an AAA game. Well, it isn't. But it has a fair price: $30 for the full game, paid DLC are cosmetic-only. The developers released a free DLC containing a new map; more maps and gameplay DLC are coming for free. You can support the developers by purchasing weapon skins DLC, which look pretty cool, by the way. Consider Chernobylite a lite version of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. (kinda "StalkerLite"). I won't be comparing Chernobylite to Stalker since it is pointless. If you are a Stalker fan, you should try Chernobylite - it is another journey to the well-known Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, but with different lore and gameplay. Level Design & Atmosphere
Description does pretty poor job at explaining what this game really is, i had no idea what to expect. Imagination creates this absurdly ambitious inaccessible game, but after playing around 4-5 hours main mechanics and goals becomes quite clear. Chernobylite is not: Replacement or competitor to s.t.a.l.k.e.r. series. Having few scripted jump scares and basic skill system, doesn't make it "survival horror RPG" Chernobylite is: Fallout 4 base building that grow into standalone adventure game with many light elements from other genres. The gameplay loop breaks down into two main parts, doing missions in one of seven explorable locations and crafting stuff back at base. It's pretty addictive loop, well at least until you build everything, after that story takes over gameplay.
