Picked this up on a whim and ended up playing it every evening for two weeks. Zombie Panic! Source wears its Action, Adventure, Cozy influences on its sleeve, and it mostly works. The pitch — Dive into the zombie apocalypse with Zombie Panic! Source: a cooperative — is delivered without too much filler. Short sessions work fine here; I rarely lost progress to a bad checkpoint. The soundtrack does a lot of heavy lifting in the quieter sections. Easy recommend at full price.

This one kept creeping back into my thoughts during the workday. Zombie Panic! Source wears its Action, Adventure, Cozy influences on its sleeve, and it mostly works. The pitch — Dive into the zombie apocalypse with Zombie Panic! Source: a cooperative — is delivered without too much filler. Short sessions work fine here; I rarely lost progress to a bad checkpoint. It runs well on a mid-range rig, though the later areas get busy. Easy recommend at full price.

This one kept creeping back into my thoughts during the workday. Zombie Panic! Source leans hard into Action, Adventure, Cozy, and that is exactly the part that worked for me. It helps that the premise (Dive into the zombie apocalypse with Zombie Panic! Source: a cooperative) actually shows up in the moment-to-moment play. It never wastes your time with filler encounters. Performance was solid on my machine, no crashes across a full playthrough. Worth it, especially on sale.
