6About WolfQuest: Anniversary Edition
You are a gray wolf in the Northern Range of Yellowstone National Park. Now dispersed from your natal pack, you're on your own – to hunt, explore, find a mate and form your own pack to raise up a new family. Can you and your little pack survive the trials of the wild?. . . . Surviving in the wilderness is far from easy! Hone your hunting skills by practicing on animals such as elk, mule deer, and moose. Once you've grasped their differences and know your limits against your selection of prey, seek out another wolf to become your mate and form a pack together. Explore fields and forests across Yellowstone National Park while you establish a territory and choose a den. Raise your pups by feeding them and playing with them. Protect them from deadly predators who try to kill them.. . Over time, your family will outgrow the need for a den and become nomadic, where you teach your pups how to catch their own prey. By next spring they will be yearlings, and test these new skills to help raise the next litter. Eventually, some will venture out on their own and disperse, just as you did all that time ago. . . And the cycle repeats, year after year, until you die. The saga of your life

This game will break you
This game will break you. This is not the cute little wolf family simulator that you think it is. It is an endless story of struggle, grief, loss, and death. It is a loop entrapped within the confines of the brutality of nature, one fraught with peril and the constant looming threat of something always out to get you. You either live with constant vigilance or you perish and become lost to the never-ending cycle. You carve out your life through the grit of your canine teeth and the spill of your blood, scratching and biting and clawing for every square inch of territory in hopes your pups will survive that much longer. You raise them from nothing, bringing them every scrap of meat you can find in this unforgiving landscape, until they become a reflection of yourself. You watch them carve out their own lives, scratching and biting and clawing alongside you, and for a moment, you have hope that you have something that could last in this desolate, lonely landscape. A fleeting vision of your descendants carrying out the very same life you experienced. But then comes the inevitable - the bears, the cougars, the eagles, the coyotes, the rival wolves, the flea infestations, the sickness, the famine, the wounds, the blood and the murder - and you watch as the once small creatures you shed blood for for so very, very, long sheds its own for the last time. You move on. You keep biting and scratching and clawing. But you never forget. And you carry those you bled for with you forever. Anyways, the game is pretty good 👍

Worth every hour
I am playing this to honor my 2 dogs who must be running around in heaven right now, playing just like they used to here on earth. Running after cars. I miss them and one day I shall see them again. I thank the creators of this game. I am in love with this game because it provides me a sense of relief. From the pain of losing my dogs. This game is a very well made simulation of what it must feel like being a wolf in wild. You have to hunt. You have to find a partner and hunt together and start your own family. Seriously this is one of the finest games and one of the most relaxing games out in the market. A gem of a game this is.

I’ve been with WolfQuest since 2007, and honestly, it’s one of those rare games that never loses its heart
I’ve been with WolfQuest since 2007, and honestly, it’s one of those rare games that never loses its heart. Over the years I’ve watched it grow from something simple into one of the most immersive animal survival games out there. You don’t just play as a wolf — you feel like one. The single-player experience is where the magic really happens. The AI behaviors are impressive — wolves actually think and act in believable ways. Some mates will even head out to mark territory while you stay behind at the den with your pups. Other times, you’re doing nearly everything yourself — hunting, defending, raising, surviving. It’s fun, though it can get repetitive after a while. But that repetition somehow adds to the realism; life in the wild isn’t easy or glamorous, and WolfQuest captures that beautifully. If I could ask for anything, it’d be more control over your pack. I’d love to give mates and pack members commands like “go scout,” “bring back food,” “hunt nearby elk,” or even have the ability to switch between wolves when things are calm — so your main wolf can rest and heal while the others take over for a bit. It would make survival feel even more dynamic and alive. Despite its quirks, WolfQuest remains one of the most heartfelt, well-made animal simulators I’ve ever played. You can tell the developers truly care about both the game and the creatures it represents. If you love wildlife, exploration, or simply want a calm yet emotional survival experience — WolfQuest is absolutely worth it. ⭐ 9/10 — Still howling strong after all these years.
