To whoever finds this review I hope you enjoy Wakfu

To whoever finds this review I hope you enjoy Wakfu. This game got me through some tough times... Sadly I got hit with the xbox live treatment and i'm the last one in my group who plays... I miss them sometimes... A lot of the time I just walk around Astrub and remember the old times... Very rarely does a game have so much to explore, I hope you can see all of it.

Frustrating more than fun

I am writing to share my frustrating experience with the account management system of the game Wakfu, developed by Ankama. After a long period of not playing, I decided to return to the game by linking my Steam account to a new Ankama account. To my surprise, I found that all my characters and progress had disappeared. I had invested a significant amount of time (over 300 hours) and money into the game, purchasing bonus packs and in-game currency (ogrines), and had high-level characters (close to level 130). When I reached out to support, I was told that my account had been "archived" due to prolonged inactivity and that archived accounts cannot be recovered under any circumstances. This was extremely disappointing, as I never received any email notification about the archiving process, despite Ankama's policy stating that such notifications would be sent. I also discovered that a linked account belonging to someone who played with me had also been affected, with all characters and progress missing. Despite providing evidence of my purchases and gameplay history, the support team maintained that nothing could be done to restore my account. This lack of transparency and consideration for players who have invested time and money into the game is unacceptable. I feel that Ankama's handling of this situation is unfair and disrespectful to its player base. I hope this review serves as a warning to others about the risks of account archiving and the lack of support provided by Ankama.

I have put a lot of time into this game

I have put a lot of time into this game. I admit, it does speak to an extremely small crowd due to the nature of the genre of game + the amount of grind you must devote. I still have a long way to go before max level (Current level 144, max is 170) So you see it does take a LONGGGG time. If you are fans of disgaea/fire emblem/other turn-based strategy game it MAY or MAY NOT be for you. You must not enter the game with the wrong mindset, and you must find others to play with. The content of the game becomes very difficult and without other players to team up with you are going to have a bad time. The community driven aspect of this game is amazing and this game has one of the best communities I've been a part of. THE BAD: If you are starting this game you are going to become overwhelmed in which skills to level, and which specialties to level in which order. I admit that does suck, but there are plenty of guides out there for each class. Another thing you should do is actually read the skills instead of just blindly following a guide. I still learn new strategies/perks on my character everyday! I hope this gives a good representation of the game; My hours speak for me and I love it!
