I purchased 'CSX Heavy Haul' back in 2017, 3 years later I am disappointed and feel thoroughly let down that within 20 minutes of playing TSW2 I discover 2 bugs that have persisted in this game for almost 3 years despite being reported hundreds of times by the community. The first bug was passengers roaming around on the track making the game look totally ridiculous. The second bug was the annoying intermittent horn bug on the new ICE. Sometimes it works sometimes it don't. Another bug that has persisted since the GWE day's. A horn for Christ sake! The first thing people press when they jump into a new loco, do the DTG beta testers wear blindfolds & ear plugs? It is perfectly clear that after 3 years and all the hot air DTG have told me via live streams or videos, they are clearly concentrating on the mass market and the fine details are of no interest to them whatsoever. If a train gets from A to B then that's great! They don't care how many bugs it may encounter along the way. If it made the trip, move on, rinse and repeat and kick another broken DLC out the door. Make no mistake folks DTG knew full well about those bugs they are impossible to miss, but they still choose to release TWS2 regardless. Disgraceful, a total slap in the face after a week of pre launch live streams reassuring the community that things were going to be different moving forward. A leopard doesn't change its spots springs to mind. DTG are an utter embarrassment to the simulation community. Refunded without hesitation.
I've been a Train Simulator player since 2015. I recieved my first TSW route nearly 2 years ago. The game has evolved a lot since then; but TSW 2 clearly is a major improvement. Let me give you the run down. - Physics are improved - Graphics are improved - More features for a better simulation experience - Scenario planner - Livery designer But the problem is that, Dovetail originally said that all TSW routes would be available on TSW 2 on launch day. They revealed the roadmap a few days ago; and they broke that promise. Turns out the NEC, GWR, and majority of TSW routes that aren't German are not coming back. That's a shame. Overall rating: 7.5/10
