this entry is the best entry in the classic lara era, technically the first reboot but still

this entry is the best entry in the classic lara era, technically the first reboot but still. end game is kinda lackluster, but the first few areas are heavily focused on grand exploration and really scratch a niche itch that the survivor trilogy doesn't itch. she goes from bimbo to rambo in that reboot.

Unfortunately, as a huge Tomb Raider fan, I cannot recommend this game in good faith

Unfortunately, as a huge Tomb Raider fan, I cannot recommend this game in good faith. Janky camera, unpolished controls, problems running on modern hardware, snooze-worthy combat (not that I come to these games for combat...) A few moments of interesting level design and some pretty visuals unfortunately don't make up for the repetitive hallways and oftimes frustrating controls. I remember loving this game when it came out back in the day, but this most recent playthrough has cemented this as being a bottom-tier mainline Tomb Raider game. Only play if you are a big fan of the franchise and want to see it all.

Worst Tomb Raider game

Worst Tomb Raider game. After replaying and finishing Legend and Anniversary, I wanted to do the same with Underworld too. I have no idea how many years ago I managed to play and finish this game, but I remembered it being much better than this. The gameplay controls are horrible, the camera movement is awful, and it constantly forces my mouse in directions I don't want it to go, making it impossible to look where I actually want to. The camera movement also gives me headaches and hurts my eyes. Just wtf. I didn't remember it being this bad. I ended up uninstalling it after only 30 minutes because I couldn't take it anymore. Good riddance.
