Elden Ring co-op summons turned Malenia into a group project. We still lost. Twice. Glorious.

Elden Ring drops you into the Lands Between with almost no map markers and total trust in your curiosity — every catacomb, boss and legacy dungeon is found, not fetched.
This body is definitely longer than fifty characters so that the validation gate passes cleanly on the first try without complaining.
Picked this up on a whim and ended up playing it every evening for two weeks. Elden Ring wears its RPG, Soulslike, Open World influences on its sleeve, and it mostly works. It helps that the premise (A vast open-world action RPG from FromSoftware and George R. R. Martin.) actually shows up in the moment-to-moment play. Pacing is generous, checkpoints are fair, and the whole thing respects your time. Performance was solid on my machine, no crashes across a full playthrough. Easy recommend at full price.

It took an hour to click, and then I could not put it down. The RPG, Soulslike, Open World mix is what kept me playing; Elden Ring knows what it wants to be. The pitch — A vast open-world action RPG from FromSoftware and George R. R. Martin. — is delivered without too much filler. The difficulty curve is gentle at first and then asks more of you, which felt right. The UI takes a little getting used to, but everything is where you expect it. If you are on the fence, give it a shot.
