There is a good game buried in here somewhere. The Front promises a lot with its Action, MMO, Sim setup, but the loop wore thin quickly. It advertises The Front is a survival open-world crafting sandbox game. You are a resistance; what you get is a thinner version of that. Performance was acceptable, though the loop repeats itself well before the credits. There is more content here than the price suggests. Not for everyone, and not for me.
Picked this up on a whim and ended up playing it every evening for two weeks. If Action, MMO, Sim is your thing, The Front delivers it without much filler. The pitch — The Front is a survival open-world crafting sandbox game. You are a resistance — is delivered without too much filler. The difficulty curve is gentle at first and then asks more of you, which felt right. The soundtrack does a lot of heavy lifting in the quieter sections. I will be back for another run.
