If you bounced off Project Zomboid because it felt like a second job, try this instead
If you bounced off Project Zomboid because it felt like a second job, try this instead. Same DNA, way less punishing. Nobody is timing you here, so you can hole up in whatever building you like and just live there for a few hundred days, or go end the run tomorrow if you feel like it. Both are valid ways to play, and that flexibility is rarer than it should be. Also, I never once had to look up how anything worked. Only thing that bugs me is looting. Every container makes you wait a few seconds for a bar to fill, and houses have a lot of containers. Turns already handle the passage of time, so the extra waiting is just dead air.

A quiet favourite
It's like a lite version of Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead, but with a much more reasonable expectation of your time and actual end-goals to work towards. Each run takes anywhere from 15 minutes to 2 hours depending on if you want to try to rush. Many perks, traits, and extra professions to unlock as you try to beat a run with better scores on higher difficulties. Tons of fun and replayability here.
