It took an hour to click, and then I could not put it down. Red Dead Redemption 2 leans hard into Action, Adventure, Story, and that is exactly the part that worked for me. It helps that the premise (The definitive outlaw epic, one campfire at a time.) actually shows up in the moment-to-moment play. Pacing is generous, checkpoints are fair, and the whole thing respects your time. There is more content here than the price suggests. If you are on the fence, give it a shot.

I went in with modest expectations and came out genuinely impressed. The Action, Adventure, Story mix is what kept me playing; Red Dead Redemption 2 knows what it wants to be. It helps that the premise (The definitive outlaw epic, one campfire at a time.) actually shows up in the moment-to-moment play. Pacing is generous, checkpoints are fair, and the whole thing respects your time. Performance was solid on my machine, no crashes across a full playthrough. Easy recommend at full price.
