I went in with modest expectations and came out genuinely impressed
I went in with modest expectations and came out genuinely impressed. The Action mix is what kept me playing; Ravenfield knows what it wants to be. The pitch — Fight upon the Ravenfield together with your Eagle allies! Take down those — is delivered without too much filler. Short sessions work fine here; I rarely lost progress to a bad checkpoint. It runs well on a mid-range rig, though the later areas get busy. If you are on the fence, give it a shot.

A friend recommended it and I owe them one. Ravenfield wears its Action influences on its sleeve, and it mostly works. The pitch — Fight upon the Ravenfield together with your Eagle allies! Take down those — is delivered without too much filler. Short sessions work fine here; I rarely lost progress to a bad checkpoint. It runs well on a mid-range rig, though the later areas get busy. I will be back for another run.

A friend recommended it and I owe them one. Ravenfield leans hard into Action, and that is exactly the part that worked for me. The pitch — Fight upon the Ravenfield together with your Eagle allies! Take down those — is delivered without too much filler. It never wastes your time with filler encounters. The soundtrack does a lot of heavy lifting in the quieter sections. I will be back for another run.
