5About Hades II
Hades II sends Melinoë after Chronos with witchcraft, a bigger moveset and the same impossible knack for making runs feel like chapters.

It took an hour to click, and then I could not put it down
It took an hour to click, and then I could not put it down. If Roguelike, Action, Story is your thing, Hades II delivers it without much filler. The pitch — Melinoë hunts Chronos in the witchy sequel to a classic. — is delivered without too much filler. The difficulty curve is gentle at first and then asks more of you, which felt right. Checkpoints are frequent enough that a bad run never feels punishing. If you are on the fence, give it a shot.

This one kept creeping back into my thoughts during the workday
This one kept creeping back into my thoughts during the workday. Hades II leans hard into Roguelike, Action, Story, and that is exactly the part that worked for me. It helps that the premise (Melinoë hunts Chronos in the witchy sequel to a classic.) actually shows up in the moment-to-moment play. It never wastes your time with filler encounters. Performance was solid on my machine, no crashes across a full playthrough. Easy recommend at full price.
