Not the game for me
Despite this being my second most played game on Steam and one of my favorites, it breaks my heart to have to leave it a negative review. Around a year ago, the original developer, Introversion Software, sold Prison Architect to Paradox Interactive. Unfortunately, Paradox has ruined the original integrity and quality of the game. They have already pumped out 2 DLCS, both of which are absolutely filled with bugs, the dlc's aren't even spectacular on their own. Both of them are small updates that add very little reason to actually purchase them. As if that wasn't bad enough, Paradox has added very few actual good additions to the game through the free updates. The updates are basically just a few new wall patterns and a floor. And, while Paradox has added a few good additions to the game, specifically quality of life changes, they just don't care enough to fix more than 10% of the bugs in the game, and each new update only adds more. They added a launcher, which doesn't seem like a big deal at first, just useless. Until you realize that they fill the launcher up with ads for Paradox's other games, it's less that it gets in your way and more that it's just insulting to players of the game, especially long time ones. They have shown themselves to have no intention of listening to the players, continuing to ignore practically every piece of criticism. Do not purchase this game if you're looking for a game with constant updates and a developer who has any ounce of quality control.
