About Potion Permit

The town of Moonbury has always been wary of the advances of the outside world, preferring to rely on their traditional methods of healing. Until one day, when the mayor's daughter falls ill, and the local witch doctor can do nothing to help her, they are forced to look outside their small community for help. The Medical Association decides to send their most accomplished chemist - you - to help cure the mayor's daughter and convince the residents of Moonbury of the wonders of modern alchemy. Gain their trust and tend to each person when they fall ill in this open-ended sim RPG. Take care of residents. Moonbury has around 30 unique inhabitants who will occasionally fall ill and call for your aid. Sick residents will have their schedules interrupted while they recuperate in bed. . Diagnose symptoms and find a cure! Hmm... a low heart rate and a bloated liver. Shoulder cramps, perhaps? No, these are sure signs of burning lungs. This patient has been consuming too much gelatin! Easily remedied; you'll just need to craft some Minty Goblet. . Gather ingredients out in the world. Once you've decided on a potion, ointment, or salve, gather ingredients from the surrounding environment

Don't get me wrong, i enjoy this game (game hours should attest that)

Don't get me wrong, i enjoy this game (game hours should attest that). But i cannot recommend as it is. 1- The DLC issue. 100% cut content to make extra money. The whole game is about improving, upgrading and decorating a new house in a new city. So if you have extra decorations that you have to pay, it means it was removed from the game. This is not a free game, art work MUST be included. 2- Very grindy. Usual for this type of game, but later in game it becomes very bad, clearly trying to increase game time with just nonsensical grind. (2k wood for fix a pump...) 2.1 How does this work, when i want to buy furniture i have to pay AND PROVIDE the mats!!! Since you need absurd amounts of stone and wood to progress in the game, wasting precious mats on anything else is just a hindrance to your progression. 3- Very SLOW and boring mini games. At first you think they are going to get faster or harder.... no. I had a crisis with 5 sick people and took me almost 1 hour just to diagnose everyone. And i like getting sick people, extra reward and feels like i am doing my profession. Most of the game i am a glorified procurement pawn. Good news is, is ALL fixable. this game have amazing art work, good music, solid mechanics and great world building. Let's hope the dev's can make a quick change before reviews sunk this game to obscurity. Small notes. Controller support is iffy right now. Small bugs. ( i got just 1 so far)

Great ideas, rough execution

I really REALLY wanted to give this game a yes, and believe me I've already spent 9 hours on it, except, it feels more like it's early access than a full game release. There's so much untapped potential. There's romance in the game but no marriage. Going into a relationship with a character doesn't feel much different than before, where the only added option is to date (which so far I've gotten the same cutscene, making it obsolete after the first time). It just feels superficial, like romance isn't there at all. Working with plants, farming could be implemented so you don't have the scour the whole map for the plants. What I do really like is that which each progression of friendship with the townsfolk, you get more of their backstories. I don't know... I want this game to succeed but I feel like it's unfair to charge the current price for it. I honestly dgaf about the DLC, since they don't really add to the game. Game needs more content. Update: So romance wise there's more cutscenes but perhaps they're randomly selected? And everyone stuck up on the romance part, that is not my biggest issue with the game. The whole game is basically a fetch quest. To open up this area, fetch a gazillion wood and 50 tons of stones. I feel like the potion making is kinda pushed to the background. A sick person shows up once every 2 or 3 days, you treat them, get like 500 gold and you get back to logging. I wish the patient examining was more indepth. The minigames get so stale very fast, and the minigames are slow too. Again, there is a good base to the game and the devs could build from it.
