I don't write reviews much but this game is very significant for me, personally
I don't write reviews much but this game is very significant for me, personally. A little over 5 years ago I started dating a girl who lived about an hour away from me, so we could only really see each other on the weekends. Around that time, I saw Orcs Must Die 2 was on sale. I thought it looked fun so I got both of us copies to play together while we voice chatted every night. We both loved it. It was so much fun and it was so nice to have a game that was "our game". Fast forward to now, I have now married that girl, and much to my surprise I see that Orcs Must Die 3 has been released! I immediately bought it for us both and we've been playing it nonstop, often way past our bedtimes. It's super fun! I feel like they've added some new layers of complexity that get my brain cooking up new ways to kill orcs efficiently. At the same time though, the game feels very nostalgic for us. While we've been playing, we've been reminiscing about when we first started dating. It's been super nice.

OMD3 is not a bad game, but it does not compare to OCD2 and that is a shame
OMD3 is not a bad game, but it does not compare to OCD2 and that is a shame. First off depending on your GPU ( running a RTX3080 ) there's a good chance it will max it out despite just running in 60fps despite the primitive cartoony graphics ( your electrical company will love you ) - so I hope you like to listen to your fans run at max for hours.. Second and more importantly the maps are not trap-based - you constantly have mutlple enemy spawn locations close to your rift with very few options to make the killboxes that the first 2 games were all about - WHY? Thirdly you don't get enough money to build up your trapzones - when playing endless don't even expect more than 3seconds between waves so good luck selling and building before under attack again - and when enemy arches keep blowing up your blocks that is where your money will go in an endless cicle of frustration.. No workshop support either btw :( So I'm finding myself stuck using archers in drowes because you simply do not have resources enough to make good trap-setups and all the time playing ( the campiagn is short and endless is limited ) I wish I was playing OMD2.. Honestly just play OMD2 it's a better game in all ways!
