Marauders is a tactical first-person multiplayer shooter set in an alternative 1990s where The Great War never ended, Earth has been industrialised to its breaking point, and many have fled to the stars. As space mercenaries known as ‘Marauders’, players will gear up and pilot their ships through hostile galactic reaches to salvage anything they can and survive by any means necessary. Throughout each match, players will be able to upgrade their gear on-the-fly as they uncover troves of loot from daring raids on hulking frigates and embark on tense touchdowns on moving asteroids. They’ll also have to keep a close watch for others looking to do the same and end their expedition with a bullet.Key Features. It took an hour to click, and then I could not put it down. Marauders wears its Action, Multiplayer, Co-op influences on its sleeve, and it mostly works. It helps that the premise (Marauders is a tactical first-person multiplayer looter shooter set in a sci-fi) actually shows up in the moment-to-moment play. Pacing is generous, checkpoints are fair, and the whole thing respects your time. It runs well on a mid-range rig, though the later areas get busy. Worth it, especially on sale.

A friend recommended it and I owe them one. Marauders leans hard into Action, Multiplayer, Co-op, and that is exactly the part that worked for me. The pitch — Marauders is a tactical first-person multiplayer looter shooter set in a sci-fi — is delivered without too much filler. It never wastes your time with filler encounters. It runs well on a mid-range rig, though the later areas get busy. I will be back for another run.

Picked this up on a whim and ended up playing it every evening for two weeks. The Action, Multiplayer, Co-op mix is what kept me playing; Marauders knows what it wants to be. The pitch — Marauders is a tactical first-person multiplayer looter shooter set in a sci-fi — is delivered without too much filler. Short sessions work fine here; I rarely lost progress to a bad checkpoint. It runs well on a mid-range rig, though the later areas get busy. Worth it, especially on sale.
