6About Hobo: Tough Life
Welcome to Praslav, a cold Central European city that grows even colder with the coming winter. Praslav is recovering from the political turmoil that followed the end of the Cold War and the fall of the Communist regime, which held the country in its iron grip for decades. While most people eagerly awaited the coming of democracy and capitalism, some were unable to adapt to the new socio-economic climate. Soon they found themselves on the streets with nowhere to go. You are one of those people. Keep an eye on your needs and other variables, which interact in realistic ways - staying warm, dry, and well-fed are not your only concerns. Poor hygiene and dirty clothes make you smellier, low temperature increases the risk of falling ill, and whatever piece of food comes in must also come out at some point. How far are you willing to go to survive? Steal, burgle, and consort with criminals of all sorts. If necessary, take what you need by force. However, you are not an action hero. Consider your actions carefully, for the consequences are often severe, and benefits rarely outweigh the risks. Most importantly, keep your wits about you. Even if you are not willing to hurt people for

It's hard
It's hard. Harder then a Souls game. RNGeezus is not with you. What this game does magnificently is the simulation of absolute despair. I've seen reviews complaining about the difficulty. And those people who wrote them didn't realize one thing this game is supposed to be unfair, harder than hell, and most of all depressing. Being a hobo is not a walk in a park. It's a fight for your life, constant dangers like hunger, no hygiene, sickness, and the possibilty of getting mugged for all of your "hard" earned money is ever present. This game perfectly catches this. I just wish the game had permadeath. The only problem I have with it is the red/green minigame. I hate that ♥♥♥♥ and honestly think the devs could have made something different. But all in all it's a game worth playing. IF you have the stones for it! Edit: So after spending more time in this game I can honestly say that you will not finish it in one life. The key to everything is money. And perseverance is the key to success. This game can be a lot of fun but it will take you 1 or 2 plays to first learn where important stuff for a decent start is and how to train your skills and such. But if you have the balls to actualy keep playing you will be rewarded by one of the most unique RPGs I've ever come across. This game is SO much worth it and you can tell that the devs put their heart and soul in to making it. So good luck hobo. May gods of dumpster diving be with you :)

*MAJOR SPOILERS*
*MAJOR SPOILERS* Hobo: THUG life (no, that's not a typo). For one playthrough I decided to try my hand as a criminal. I started out small with petty crimes like pickpocketing and stealing from people's yards. Putting aside my conscience, I even bullied other hobos and took what little they had, without remorse. I finally made a name for myself in the criminal underworld, and working my way up I got jobs stealing bikes, then from people's homes. Everything was going great and I was making good money. Going forward, I planned to add mugging, burglury and breaking into people's cars to my list of potential income. Then I hit a wall. My lockpicking skill wasn't high enough to get the jobs done anymore and it would be a while before it was (my own fault). I was counting on that money to get me through the winter, which was fast approaching. Without it my death was inevitable and my run would probably be over. I decided to go back to my contacts in the criminal underworld to try to find other work, any work. There I made an important connection. I found a supplier and become a meth dealer! Made some good money doing it too. On one of my jobs I was introduced to the manufacturer. This was my chance. I quickly studied the layout of his lab. Afterward, I hit the streets to see if I could find and gather all the necessary components. I now have my own meth lab! I got the recipe for meth, gathered more supplies and started producing. With a steady supply of income from my meth operation, coupled with the money I made from all my other jobs I was able to survive the winter with ease. Moral of the story: Drugs saved my life.
