After consuming this game all other media has become obsolete in my eyes
After consuming this game all other media has become obsolete in my eyes. Fighting the aliens with lightning while on 2 hp with no ammo is the greatest combat I've ever played. I have never, and I say NEVER enjoyed a puzzle more than moving the barrel onto bomb fuse. Every time I was wondering, "Is it over yet? Will my endless joy have to end?" I was told to do another task by Dr. Rosenburg. I woke up today thinking, "Man I want to charge batteries for Dr. Rosenburg!" Oh Dr. Rosenburg. You beautiful man. You would randomly get tired and refuse to move after getting to a door. I loved the alien planet where I got to slowly turn nobs and run around trying to figure out where to go, and it being the rock fall in the end. I loved how slow every single thing is in this game is. I give a negative review because there will be nothing like this again. We might as well stagnate for all eternity endlessly preserving the peak of our achievements known as Half-Life: Blue Shift.

It’s a decent addition to the Half-Life universe, but honestly it doesn’t add much gameplay-wise
It’s a decent addition to the Half-Life universe, but honestly it doesn’t add much gameplay-wise. It’s not bad...it’s just fine as more content. Play it if you’re curious, but it could’ve been much more. But hey, you play as Barney, and that counts for something. Maybe Opposing Force set the standard too high.

The cupcake version of Half-Life
The cupcake version of Half-Life. Play as Barney Calhoun and show United States Marines, Black Ops Ninjas, and inter-dimensional mutants that real badasses wear ties and make $26,000 a year.
