I went in with modest expectations and came out genuinely impressed. The Cozy, Sim, Multiplayer mix is what kept me playing; Goat Simulator knows what it wants to be. It helps that the premise (Goat Simulator is the latest in high-tech Goat Simulation technology.) actually shows up in the moment-to-moment play. It never wastes your time with filler encounters. There is more content here than the price suggests. I will be back for another run.

It took an hour to click, and then I could not put it down. Goat Simulator leans hard into Cozy, Sim, Multiplayer, and that is exactly the part that worked for me. It helps that the premise (Goat Simulator is the latest in high-tech Goat Simulation technology.) actually shows up in the moment-to-moment play. Pacing is generous, checkpoints are fair, and the whole thing respects your time. The soundtrack does a lot of heavy lifting in the quieter sections. If you are on the fence, give it a shot.
