FOREWARNED is a 1-4 player co-op survival horror game where you and your friends embark on an expedition into haunted ancient Egyptian tombs. Investigate phenomena, collect treasure, discover lore, survive danger, and banish the evil that lurks within. GEAR UP AND DELVE DEEP. Play solo, with a group of friends, or find a public lobby online. Take advantage of every tool at your disposal to identify the name of the mummy haunting the ruins and enter the tomb's inner chamber. Retrieve the sacred relic, along with any other treasure you find along the way. SURVIVE THE HORRORS WITHIN. The mummies that haunt these tombs, also known as the cursed Mejai, will physically manifest in an attempt to prevent your escape. Each Mejai possesses unique characteristics and abilities. Overcome their strengths and exploit their weaknesses to escape with your life. EXPLORE PROCEDURALLY GENERATED TOMBS. Choose from twelve unique maps set in vividly detailed and rich environments across the Sahara. Each map type possesses a distinct procedurally generated ancient Egyptian tomb that has nearly infinite layout possibilities so that no two playthroughs are ever the same, each containing its own creatures

There is a good game buried in here somewhere. Fans of Action, Adventure, Multiplayer will recognise the pieces, though FOREWARNED never quite assembles them. It advertises FOREWARNED is a 1-4 player co-op survival horror. Delve deep into ancient; what you get is a thinner version of that. Performance was acceptable, though the loop repeats itself well before the credits. Checkpoints are frequent enough that a bad run never feels punishing. Not for everyone, and not for me.

Picked this up on a whim and ended up playing it every evening for two weeks. FOREWARNED wears its Action, Adventure, Multiplayer influences on its sleeve, and it mostly works. The pitch — FOREWARNED is a 1-4 player co-op survival horror. Delve deep into ancient — is delivered without too much filler. The difficulty curve is gentle at first and then asks more of you, which felt right. The soundtrack does a lot of heavy lifting in the quieter sections. If you are on the fence, give it a shot.

It took an hour to click, and then I could not put it down. The Action, Adventure, Multiplayer mix is what kept me playing; FOREWARNED knows what it wants to be. On paper it is FOREWARNED is a 1-4 player co-op survival horror. Delve deep into ancient, and for once the game mostly lives up to that. Pacing is generous, checkpoints are fair, and the whole thing respects your time. Checkpoints are frequent enough that a bad run never feels punishing. I will be back for another run.
