About Five Nights at Freddy's 4

This time, the terror has followed you home. In this last chapter of the Five Nights at Freddy's original story, you must once again defend yourself against Freddy Fazbear, Chica, Bonnie, Foxy, and even worse things that lurk in the shadows. Playing as a child whose role is yet unknown, you must safeguard yourself until 6am by watching the doors, as well as warding off unwanted creatures that may venture into your closet or onto the bed behind you. You have only a flashlight to protect yourself. It will scare away things that may be creeping at the far end of the hallways, but be careful, and listen. If something has crept too close, then shining lights in its eyes will be your end.

This one actually managed to scare me

This one actually managed to scare me. Not the jumpscares or cheap noises, but the atmosphere. It has a feeling of reliving your childhood nightmares: monsters coming to get you in your bedroom. Only two nights in, and it terrifies me already. For the other three games, I only really cared about them for the story that was supposedly hidden behind it, waiting to be uncovered. This one, however, I actually feel scared by. Of all of the series, I recommend this one much more than the others. VERY MUCH RECOMMENDED.

I figured making an actual review instead of a joke one could be nice

I figured making an actual review instead of a joke one could be nice. This game is, in my opinion, the best in the whole franchise. Not only is the gameplay loop as enticing as ever, this game presents the most challenges yet at a whopping 8 nights as well as a customizable one with many challenges at your disposal, not to mention the slightly harder halloween dlc (Free!). The character design (Important on a horror game) are a bit overkill, but are quite effective given the setting and fit really well given the proposed scenario of a kid having nightmares. The drawback is its overreliance on sound. While the usage of sound queues to gain information is at its best on this game, it makes it hard for any hearing impaired to play, and makes the jumpscare aspect a bit cheap since it forces you into paying attention to quiet sound queues. One gets used to it relatively quicky however, and it becomes more than bearable. Overall a really solid game that is worth its prize - RNG is not a deal-breaker, atmosphere and design is great, gameplay loop is fun and content is plentiful for the cost (And especially when compared to the previous, or even later entries)
