Dorfromantik is a relaxing building strategy and puzzle game in which you place tiles to create ever-growing, idyllic village landscapes. With Dorfromantik, you can immerse yourself in a quiet, peaceful world at any time and take a break from everyday life. At the same time, Dorfromantik offers a challenge for those who are looking for one: To beat the highscore, you need to carefully plan and strategically place your tiles. In Dorfromantik you start with a stack of procedurally generated tiles. One after the other, you draw the top tile of the stack, place it on one available slot and rotate for the best fit. Thereby groups and combinations of landscapes are formed, such as forests, villages or water bodies, and you are rewarded with points depending on how well the tile fits. On some tiles you will also encounter special objects that give you a quest: For example, the windmill wants to border 6 grain fields, the locomotive wants to be connected to 10 tracks or the deer wants to inhabit a forest with at least 50 trees. I almost didn't buy this game because someone claimed the devs patched ads into the game
I almost didn't buy this game because someone claimed the devs patched ads into the game. The "ads" consist of a tiny button link saying "check out our new game star birds" that is only visible on the main menu and pause screen. The game is pretty chill and fun so I'm glad I didn't pay too much attention to that silly complaint.

umm when i realized ive played like 700 hours of this game i figured i should give it a review its fun!!! not too hard, right in that sweet spot for "brain thinking a little, but not enough to be angry about it" 10/10 great game to listen to youtube video essays or dnd podcasts to! i think i finished listening to like 3 or 4 entire campaigns while playing this so, very worth it 👍👍👍

Do not believe the description, there is nothing relaxing about this game. Under the hood of cozy village aesthetics hides one of most hardcore puzzles out there. Dorfromantik consists mostly of pattern recognition, spatial reasoning, managing randomness and making compromises. Oh, and don't get me wrong. It's AWESOME.
