Picked this up on a whim and ended up playing it every evening for two weeks. The Action, Adventure, Cozy mix is what kept me playing; DeadPoly knows what it wants to be. On paper it is DeadPoly is a polygon arcade zombie survival looter shooter with base building, and for once the game mostly lives up to that. The difficulty curve is gentle at first and then asks more of you, which felt right. Checkpoints are frequent enough that a bad run never feels punishing. Easy recommend at full price.

It took an hour to click, and then I could not put it down. DeadPoly wears its Action, Adventure, Cozy influences on its sleeve, and it mostly works. On paper it is DeadPoly is a polygon arcade zombie survival looter shooter with base building, and for once the game mostly lives up to that. It never wastes your time with filler encounters. There is more content here than the price suggests. Worth it, especially on sale.

Picked this up on a whim and ended up playing it every evening for two weeks. If Action, Adventure, Cozy is your thing, DeadPoly delivers it without much filler. The pitch — DeadPoly is a polygon arcade zombie survival looter shooter with base building — is delivered without too much filler. Pacing is generous, checkpoints are fair, and the whole thing respects your time. The soundtrack does a lot of heavy lifting in the quieter sections. If you are on the fence, give it a shot.
