Not a bad game, just not one I can recommend without caveats. The Action, Strategy, Multiplayer side of Company of Heroes - Legacy Edition is fine on paper, but the execution felt thin after the first few hours. The idea (Delivering a visceral WWII gaming experience, Company of Heroes redefines RTS) is there, but the execution never catches up to it. Too many systems are introduced and then abandoned. There is more content here than the price suggests. Not for everyone, and not for me.

Picked this up on a whim and ended up playing it every evening for two weeks. The Action, Strategy, Multiplayer mix is what kept me playing; Company of Heroes - Legacy Edition knows what it wants to be. The pitch — Delivering a visceral WWII gaming experience, Company of Heroes redefines RTS — is delivered without too much filler. Short sessions work fine here; I rarely lost progress to a bad checkpoint. The UI takes a little getting used to, but everything is where you expect it. Worth it, especially on sale.
