This one kept creeping back into my thoughts during the workday. If Action, Multiplayer, Co-op is your thing, Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® 3 (2011) delivers it without much filler. On paper it is The best-selling first-person action series of all-time returns with an epic, and for once the game mostly lives up to that. Pacing is generous, checkpoints are fair, and the whole thing respects your time. It runs well on a mid-range rig, though the later areas get busy. Worth it, especially on sale.

It took an hour to click, and then I could not put it down. Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® 3 (2011) leans hard into Action, Multiplayer, Co-op, and that is exactly the part that worked for me. The pitch — The best-selling first-person action series of all-time returns with an epic — is delivered without too much filler. The difficulty curve is gentle at first and then asks more of you, which felt right. The UI takes a little getting used to, but everything is where you expect it. Worth it, especially on sale.
