Still thinking about it

There is a brief moment in each district, as you walk towards the exit, surrounded by the smoking ruin of what was once a bustling suburban community, or industrial park, or relay station, that the gravity of your actions sink in. Even if it's just a little bit. The civilians you stepped on haphazardly, or were caught in the collateral damage of your guns. The scores of people you have gunned down. The years of development that have been reduced to rubble by you, without so much of a thought. It's a horrifying realisation, really, and the moment is perfectly accentuated by the relatively quiet tones of the music that plays between levels. The moment is made worse by your destructive trek through each district. As you rampage through people's homes, their place of work, their farms, their food, their parks, their monuments. As your shells reduce everything, everywhere, to smoke and ash. People lived here once, worked here once. They made memories here. Perhaps it means something to them. But then the lights turn back on. You're in another district with new objectives. The wanton devastation you left behind you is no longer at the forefront of your mind. Already, your thoughts turn away from the people you've killed and from the places you've razed. You now think about how many shells remain in your ammunition stores, how much hull you have left. It isn't about the people anymore. Great leader is dead. And Solo Nobre must fall.

The game gets updates for free

The game gets updates for free. It's fun as h-e-double hockey sticks hell. It's cheaper than it should be for what you get. And I'm buying it for random people I know, even if they don't play games, to reward the creators for being awesome. You should buy it. Or else I'll buy it for you. Don't tempt me.
