A friend recommended it and I owe them one. BLEACH Brave Souls leans hard into Action, Cozy, RPG, and that is exactly the part that worked for me. On paper it is The world of mega-hit manga and anime BLEACH comes to Steam in this exciting 3D, and for once the game mostly lives up to that. The difficulty curve is gentle at first and then asks more of you, which felt right. The soundtrack does a lot of heavy lifting in the quieter sections. Worth it, especially on sale.

Not a bad game, just not one I can recommend without caveats. BLEACH Brave Souls promises a lot with its Action, Cozy, RPG setup, but the loop wore thin quickly. What it promises (The world of mega-hit manga and anime BLEACH comes to Steam in this exciting 3D) is more interesting than what it actually does moment to moment. The pacing sags in the middle third and never fully recovers. Checkpoints are frequent enough that a bad run never feels punishing. Wait for a deep sale.
