Great ideas, rough execution

I was as many really excited for this game, so much so that I didn't wait for the switch release but bought it for the PC, but I am still glad you can now play it with a controller. My biggest issue with the game is the never ending upgrade quests for hotels. Without too many spoilers, you start out in smaller places and find larger places along the way, however your upgrade quests for the smaller places never stop. So in order to continue the game you are basically forced to cram as much ♥♥♥♥ as possible into tiny spaces, just so your star rating goes up and your tiny cabin in the woods becomes a five star hotel (paraphrasing), that just does not make sense. Why not give each place a different final level that it can achieve? That would also allow for cuter designs, better layout managment of hotel rooms etc. This also forces you to constantly travel back and forth and collect ever more ressources, it just never feels like progression. No I haven't finished the game, at this point I am not sure I will b/c I just refuse to turn my b&bs into cramped, full of random knick-knacks, places just so I can keep their star rating going up higher and higher. This could have been a really fun game b/c the design is excellent and adorable and it has so much potential that just falls flat for reasons that it should not struggle with.

Worth every hour

It's almost as if the devs looked into my brain and were like "We should make exactly the perfect game for this random guy.", absolutely phenomenal!

My name is Hank and I'm a bear

My name is Hank and I'm a bear. I run bed and breakfasts here and there. So humans return - I think they're fun! Leaving money and valuables when they're done. With help from friends I'll do my best, sometimes I even get to rest. So come on down and don't be a jerk, it ain't much but it's honest work. ʕ•͡ᴥ•ʔ!
