It took an hour to click, and then I could not put it down
It took an hour to click, and then I could not put it down. If City Builder, Strategy, Sim is your thing, Anno 117: Pax Romana delivers it without much filler. It helps that the premise (Roman empire building in the Anno tradition.) actually shows up in the moment-to-moment play. The difficulty curve is gentle at first and then asks more of you, which felt right. It runs well on a mid-range rig, though the later areas get busy. I will be back for another run.

This one kept creeping back into my thoughts during the workday
This one kept creeping back into my thoughts during the workday. If City Builder, Strategy, Sim is your thing, Anno 117: Pax Romana delivers it without much filler. The pitch — Roman empire building in the Anno tradition. — is delivered without too much filler. It never wastes your time with filler encounters. Checkpoints are frequent enough that a bad run never feels punishing. I will be back for another run.
