Experience the fifth chapter of the Kazuma Kiryu saga in 1080p and 60fps. In December 2012, Kazuma Kiryu left his past as a ""legendary yakuza"" and his place of peace in Okinawa. He now spends his days as a cab driver in a corner of Fukuoka's red-light district, hiding his true identity. All for the sake of fulfilling the ""dream"" of an important person. However, a disturbing atmosphere begins to drift through the supposedly well-balanced society of the Kanto and Kansai yakuza, emerging as a plot to drag all of the yakuza organizations in Japan to war. In order to protect the ""dreams"" of his loved one, Kiryu is drawn into the vortex of battle once again. This is the story of four men and a girl chasing their ""dreams"" in five major cities in Japan, presented on the largest scale of the series yet. Complete The Dragon of Dojima’s journey.
Yakuza 5 is the definition of “I have no idea what’s happening, but I’m having the time of my life.” One minute I’m a taxi driver, the next I’m hunting bears, then suddenly I’m a J-pop idol and somehow end up hitting home runs like it’s nothing. This game isn’t a story — it’s five different midlife crises duct-taped together, and I loved every single second. Sega, just take my wallet already.
This game will always hold a place in my heart. I get so nostalgic when I play in 𝗙𝘂𝗸𝘂𝗼𝗸𝗮 city. This game isn’t the best in the franchises, and the story drags on a bit halfway,(Saejima snow village) though it thankfully picks up, but man I love this game. This game has 5 cities to explore, the most in any Yakuza game and they’re all packed with hilarious or emotional sub-stories. Combat and graphics engine is greatly improved on from Yakuza 3/4. Like any game in the series, this one is must have for any Yakuza fan. Thank you RGG Studio for porting this game to PC/Steam! We appreciate it.
***THIS IS A REMASTER, NOT A REMAKE LIKE KIWAMI*** I played this game back on PS3 with a terrible framerate but hell it was still an amazing experience. When i saw this coming out for PC with smooth 60fps 1080p it was an immediate purchase for me. Contents: its a very much all-in package with 5 different beautiful cities with unique mini-games, festivals, subquests. From an idol mini game to becoming a taxi driver, then participating in Initial D styled races with your Taxi (you can also modify your Taxi with skins, tires and upgrade it with better parts). For me this game can entertain for 70+ hours. 10/10 The story which is the best one in the series for me (didnt play 7 yet) and will surely leaving you in love with the characters and in tears. Kazuma Kiryu, Taiga Saejima, Shun Akiyama, Haruka and Tatsuo Shinada are all playable with their own substories and abilities which will surely make the experience thrilling. To be honest Haruka is still annoying so 9/10 The music as for all the yakuza games this is second to best after 0. You have to hear them to know. 10/10 Gameplay-wise game can be a little choppy compared to the games that were remade with the Dragon Engine but still holds up great. 8/10 ALSO Real Yakuza Use a Gamepad warning must be kept in mind because this is originally a game for PS3. This game is a remaster version of a game from 2012, but the graphics still are great, do not expect the smoothness of 1-2 Kiwami remakes. 9/10
