At the top of the tower, after passing through ten worlds, the victor gains glory and the hope of evolution, while the defeated are erased along with their entire race. ——And so far, the number of StoryDivers who have passed through the tenth world remains zero. In the 'Doppelganger', the Story World you enter for the first time as a newcomer, you meet StoryDivers assigned to the same world: Saint, Victor, and Kruger. If the Doppelganger is triggered, you will face instant death; and the team, seemingly harmonious and friendly, also harbors restlessness and ominous signs. Is the heart of those not of our kind different? Ten Trials of Babel: The Doppelganger Maze is an RPGMaker-like adventure game with puzzles, mystery, and otome FxM romance elements. --- The English translation is a bit wonky with noticeable typos. It's not incomprehensible, but it is something to keep in mind if quality of translation bothers your enjoyment. For me, it did not affect the understanding of the plot or characters. --- The translation drops down an "R" slur when trying to describe someone having a mind drain debuff after a physical power up. Maybe reconsider that. --- The keyboard controls are a little "sticky" but this might be an engine thing. +++ Wonderful pixel art, from the character sprites to CGs. +++ Professional levels of Japanese voice acting and every line is voiced. +++ There are a lot of romance elements. It's not just flavor, as it sometimes turns out to be in these games. +++ The puzzles are at an enjoyable level of difficulty. Only two left me a bit stumped. +++ The story, characters, and character interactions are a lot of fun. The game ends solidly enough with plenty of room for a sequel. And I hope the devs do make a sequel! I don't want to leave these characters quite yet.

genuinely such a good game! one of the absolute best indie otoges out there, and a rare one, where i actually really liked all of the characters! the gameplay is super fun, generally challenging, but nothing insane. interesting story, and a great set up for the sequal (which i am impatiently awaiting). all of the endings were sooo good... every guy is a little yandere in their own way which is soooo peak. my only complaint is that its too short!

definitely deserves the story rich tag... every aspect is near perfect (characters, conversations, artwork, puzzles, etc.) the only complaint is that this game is too short! i can easily enjoy another 3 hours of gameplay ;)))
