AFTERMATH END OF SERVICE NOTICE. Dear Players, We began Aftermath as a passion project 2 years ago that aimed to expand the Infestation/WarZ zombie survival universe and give players not only a harsh open world survival experience, but also let players build their own bases, claim land and store items. We ultimately chose to make the game free-to-play from the beginning in order to allow any curious player to try it without having to plunk down hard earned cash given how questionable early access titles can sometimes be. This free to play model worked for quite some time due to word of mouth, almost 2 years in fact, however, with the population dwindling we fear that we cannot keep servers online for much longer. Not long ago we made the decision to restrict new user registrations as well as halt the sale of in game currency to avoid potential disappointment from new players as the game had not been updated in the last 4 months. Unfortunately the economics of the game are not able to afford us the luxury of continued development and support for Aftermath. With sadness we’ve made the difficult decision to close Aftermath. It wasn’t an easy decision for us, as we’ve been quite
Dear Sergey, You are a giant steaming pile of ****. Some game developers may be in bottom of the barrel but you are under the barrel. You are responsible for some of the most harebrained ideas and dirty business practices in the history of gaming. It makes me sick that you actually make money from this all too predictable routine you have going. How many times are you going to "make a game," milk dry the players who have yet to experience your work, and toss it away just to start again using the same damn assets? As gamers supporting anything you touch is almost on par with a Jewish person praising Hitler's paintings. As for the game itself? I tried it out of pure morbid curiosity and was not shocked to find that it's just another mutilated mutated edit of the same weak, poorly optimized engine you have been playing with for years. 0/10
I can only describe this game in a poem Title: Hackers, hackers! Hackers hackers everywhere, even in my underwear. PVE players and noobs beaware!!! hackers, hackers in the air. "War Z" was a pile of garbage and to avoid giving me my refund they quickly abandoned ship and ran off with the money. Later they added it back to Steam as "Infestation;" and probably scammed more people. Then they changed the name again to "Romero's Aftermath" and probably resort to nickle and dime'n people with DLC/Microtransactions/Donations or something instead- I dunno or care to look into it. I just know that nothing tied to this War Z legacy should ever receive support from anyone in any form. I still have my "The War Z Legend Package" @ USD $29.99 Receipt though if they want to go out of their way to try to change my mind to prove they aren't just a bunch of scammers and have some kind of human decency. I have little expectations for that though.
