The Nightmare has invaded the world of dreams and is corrupting everything in its wake. But the heroes themselves have been corrupted. How deep do the roots of this evil go? Dear Ravenswatch Devs, Could you please add a feature to allow people to reconnect to ongoing games they have been disconnected from before forcing the character to go to the progression screen. Possibly add a text box that would allow them the choice to attempt to reconnect or leave before getting forced out of the run. One small disconnection on BIS ISP should not end your run and ruin it for everyone else. Even the best available connection for most people is not perfect and prone to hiccups in connection continuity. Please consider if possible. Thank you. Love the game
Love the game. But after the first 200 runs… it gets stale. Devs, please listen. We need an endless mode, let us just get OP and have fun grinding a character. We need more map and objective variety. And the most important, that Romeo and Juliet play style needs to spread to the rest of the cast. Being able to play off of your friends moves is so much fun. Adds an extra reason to work together and the damage payoff is rewarding. That play style mechanic needs to be expanded on, it was a great idea to test out.
I'll keep it brief: the game is awesome and fun to play and the characters all feel very unique and fun to use, the only other roguelike that felt this good to play was Hades 2. But there's 2 things that don't make the game worthwhile at the moment. 1. The game is in desperate need of content. It only has 3 stages and 3 big bosses which all feel very samey. I played with a friend and after 2 evening sessions we were basically done with the game, which is a bit of a shame. 2. Higher difficulties don't offer any motivation to play them. There is no altered stuff going on like enemy variants, new attacks or other surprises that would make me want to replay the stages. On top of that on higher difficulties you get a penalty of XP earned, which means it is harder to get the final few skills for a run, which kinda defeats the purpose of unlocking my characters' high level skills and skill modifiers to begin with. And once you beat a difficulty, you are not rewarded, but punished by getting even less xp for the following difficulty. Imo this kind of design is fundamentally wrong for a roguelike and I hope someone is going to take a look at this. Will keep an eye on this game and its updates and if those 2 situations improve I'll change my review to positive, because it's generally a very fun experience.
