Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment dives into the Imprisoning War era of Tears of the Kingdom — Musou battles across Zelda's deepest lore.
A friend recommended it and I owe them one. If Action, Adventure is your thing, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment delivers it without much filler. The pitch — The Imprisoning War, told at Musou scale. — is delivered without too much filler. Pacing is generous, checkpoints are fair, and the whole thing respects your time. It runs well on a mid-range rig, though the later areas get busy. I will be back for another run.
Picked this up on a whim and ended up playing it every evening for two weeks. Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment leans hard into Action, Adventure, and that is exactly the part that worked for me. The pitch — The Imprisoning War, told at Musou scale. — is delivered without too much filler. Pacing is generous, checkpoints are fair, and the whole thing respects your time. There is more content here than the price suggests. I will be back for another run.
