A friend recommended it and I owe them one. The Metroidvania, Platformer, Adventure mix is what kept me playing; Hollow Knight: Silksong knows what it wants to be. It helps that the premise (Hornet's long-awaited adventure was worth every year.) actually shows up in the moment-to-moment play. The difficulty curve is gentle at first and then asks more of you, which felt right. There is more content here than the price suggests. If you are on the fence, give it a shot.

A friend recommended it and I owe them one. Hollow Knight: Silksong wears its Metroidvania, Platformer, Adventure influences on its sleeve, and it mostly works. The pitch — Hornet's long-awaited adventure was worth every year. — is delivered without too much filler. It never wastes your time with filler encounters. The UI takes a little getting used to, but everything is where you expect it. Easy recommend at full price.
