I do not recommend this game and here's why. I used to play Fallout 3 (Disc Game) on my Xbox 360 back in 2016 but that was just the base game no DLC included and I loved it. Now that I've own a PC, I decided to try out it again with the Game of the Year Edition. After Installation, I was able to launched the game but it crashes every time I click on "New" to start. I had to download Nexus Mod and I was able to play. Exactly two minutes into the game it crashed again and that was it. I couldn't play anymore. I couldn't even continue on my last saved. It just kept crashing. I requested a refund, I hope Steam removes this game because obviously I'm not the only one who faced this problem. If you really want to play Fallout 3, I recommend you play it on a console. With game disc? Even better!.
game doesn't work, it just fails to launch completely. I think if they are going to keep selling a game valve and bethesda have a responsibility to maintain it.
Saw Fallout 3 in my most played games and thought: Wait. I never reviewed this? I first played this back in 2009, years before I owned it on Steam. Somehow that turned into an unreasonable amount of time spent wandering around the Capital Wasteland. I did basically everything. Every quest, every random building, every stupid detour because there might be something over there. Fast travel existed. I apparently just preferred walking across a radioactive wasteland for 20 minutes. It’s old, clunky, the gunplay sometimes feels like aiming is merely a recommendation, and getting Fallout 3 to behave on a modern Windows PC can feel harder than surviving the actual nuclear apocalypse. Fallout 4 was great too, but Fallout 3 is still my favorite Fallout and one of my favorite games ever. 10/10. Still looking for my dad.
