Just an ordinary young man with thousands, even hundreds of thousands of those like him in every ordinary city. But one day something completely unusual happens to him: he falls asleep in a bus in winter and wakes up... in the middle of a hot summer. In front of him is "Sovyonok" - a pioneer camp, behind him is his former life. To understand what happened to him, Semyon will have to get to know the local inhabitants (and maybe even find love), find his way in the complex labyrinth of human relationships and his own problems and solve the camp's mysteries. And answer the main question - how to come back? Should he come back?

Picked this up on a whim and ended up playing it every evening for two weeks. Everlasting Summer wears its Adventure, Cozy influences on its sleeve, and it mostly works. On paper it is Visual novel loved by many – Everlasting Summer – now on Steam!, and for once the game mostly lives up to that. The difficulty curve is gentle at first and then asks more of you, which felt right. It runs well on a mid-range rig, though the later areas get busy. Worth it, especially on sale.

I bounced off it twice before finally giving up. Everlasting Summer promises a lot with its Adventure, Cozy setup, but the loop wore thin quickly. It advertises Visual novel loved by many – Everlasting Summer – now on Steam!; what you get is a thinner version of that. It asks for a lot of grinding before the interesting parts show up. The UI takes a little getting used to, but everything is where you expect it. Try before you buy.
