I played this game while having to stay indoors after radiation therapy to cure my cancer last year
I played this game while having to stay indoors after radiation therapy to cure my cancer last year. I immediately got hooked to the unique experience and story. I had so much time on my hands i beat it multiple times and i still play it to this day. If i had a chance to thank the developers for drastically helping my situation at the time, I most definitely would.

Better than expected
For a time, I've heard people compare this game to Undertale, and I figured that it was perhaps because the gameplay is similar, or that it puts a focus on simpler graphics in an effort to convey mechanics and story over visuals. While those are both arguably true, I think those analyses are somewhat shallow, and I'm still kicking myself for thinking those might have ever been all this game had to offer. Everhood can and should be compared to Undertale, not because the games have similar art styles or gameplay, but because both games are unique in their respect for the player. Everhood is a masterfully crafted piece of art. It feels as though every single part of this experience was crafted with love. From the truly epic, memorable scores unique to each boss fight, to the imaginative world in which the story takes place, to the nuanced characters with deep backstories and personalities, no expense was spared in the creation of this game. It's one of the few games that I'm truly honored to play, and it will stick with me in a way that very few pieces of media ever will. An unforgettable experience with enough trust and respect for the player to share all of the incredible ideas it has to offer. If you even *think* you might like this game, I urge you to try it.
